On the Northern Avenue bridge I came across the coolest pieces of art that looked sort of like the pedestrian crossing part of a traffic light. I noticed the first one from the dock behind Rowes Wharf as I was walking towards the bridge. Up on the bridge itself, the view from the other side was unfortunately blocked by a chain link fence. According to the sign posted nearby, the pieces by London artist Julian Opie, are called 'Suzanne walking' and 'Julian walking', though it's hard to say which is which. The installation will be in place for just a year and is sponsored by the ICA/Vita Brevis Project, a project named like many of mine should be.
