A Leap Year Baby

The invitation came sometime back in November. We were invited to a surprise birthday party in upstate New York for Nancy the last weekend in February. I guess being a leap year baby not only keeps one young but also brings a measure of luck. Great weather led to clear roads all the way and Nancy didn't suspect a thing. She even brought some broken pieces to trade for replacments at the Tupperware party she thought she was attending. The real party theme was 'fifties' rock and roll, appropriate for Nancy's leapyear age of 15, so hum a few oldies and take a look at some pictures. You'll see grandchildren with poodle skirts or jeans and white t-shirts, lots of pink balloons, a record hop cake and a surprised and happy Nancy in her birthday present Sabres hockey jersey, autographed by Marty Biron and his teammates.
