Las Vegas was all blue sky and sun, but colder than back in Boston. And the mountains even had snow, unlike the desperate lack of white at Mad River. We went out to celebrate with the Gurns, on the occasion of Meg and Hector's wedding. The bride and groom have lived in Las Vegas for some time now, so they followed tradition and were married in The Little Church of the West, a famous wedding chapel that's been on the Las Vegas strip since 1942. When the brief ceremony was complete, the guests were ushered outside. Then, as Meg and Hector came out, the chapel bells began pealing in a musical Las Vegas acknowledgment of joy, happiness and the survival of love.
