The past couple of days Marcia and I visited in Orange to help out with opening the house and getting things started in the garden. Though the weather prediction was not that great, the weather reality turned out much better. Blue skies and warm sun were just right for leaving a fresh, crispness in the air and for working outside. We got all the planned jobs accomplished, there was Scrabble, and we had our first visit to Anne's Dairy Bar, where the portions seem to have grown even larger than I fantasized over the winter. Farmers need that kind of fuel though, so we ate up. Here's my Dad getting the grapevines under control.
