We visited again this past weekend, staying down in Rochester with our friend Walter. This time he was actually at home, so he came along with us to see the new house. There's been a lot of progress but we're definitely in a race with the weather now. Cross your fingers that it holds, so the roof can be framed this week.
This was probably the most exciting visit to the house, at least for me, because now I can really see what I had only been vaguely imagining before. I can picture working on the big center island with its black granite top, sitting to read on a comfy sofa in the living room and having my morning latté on the tucked-in deck between the two wings. The house is everything I hoped it would be and I can't wait until it's finished.
